Traffic handled at New Mangalore Port from 2000-01 to 2013-14

The total traffic handled at New Mangalore port in 2000-01 was 17891 thousand tonnes and it increased to 39365 thousand tonnes in 2013-14, recording a growth of 120.03%.

The traffic handled at New Mangalore port in the Overseas Unloaded category in 2000-01 was 8227 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Overseas Loaded category in 2000-01 was 5349 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Coastal Unloaded category in 2000-01 was 963 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Coastal Loaded category in 2000-01 was 3352 thousand tonnes.

The traffic handled at New Mangalore port in the Overseas Unloaded category in 2001-02 was 7324 thousand tonnes. It recorded a decline of -10.98% over the previous year. The traffic handled in Overseas Loaded category in 2001-02 was 5720 thousand tonnes. It recorded 6.94% growth over the previous year. The traffic handled in Coastal Unloaded category in 2001-02 was 1433 thousand tonnes. It recorded 48.81% growth over the previous year. The traffic handled in Coastal Loaded category in 2001-02 was 3024 thousand tonnes. It recorded a decline of -9.79% over the previous year.

The traffic handled at New Mangalore port in the Overseas Unloaded category in 2013-14 was 25734 thousand tonnes. It recorded 10.44% growth over the previous year. The total growth recorded during 2000-01 to 2013-14 was 212.8%. The traffic handled in Overseas Loaded category in 2013-14 was 7711 thousand tonnes. It recorded 2.55% growth over the previous year. The total growth recorded during 2000-01 to 2013-14 was 44.16%. The traffic handled in Coastal Unloaded category in 2013-14 was 3520 thousand tonnes. It recorded a decline of -12.46% over the previous year. The total growth recorded during 2000-01 to 2013-14 was 265.52%. The traffic handled in Coastal Loaded category in 2013-14 was 2400 thousand tonnes. It recorded 9.34% growth over the previous year. But there was a decline of -28.4% recorded during 2000-01 to 2013-14.
