Eco-Tourism Projects Sanctioned in 2015-16

The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in India was Rs. 1719.11 crores in 2015-16. There were 3 states having amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects of more than Rs. 100 crores viz. Assam, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan in 2015-16.

The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Assam was Rs. 129.65 crores in 2015-16. Assam was at the top with the maximum amount of Rs. 129.65 crores for eco-tourism projects in 2015-16 among all the States/UTs of India. It had a share of 7.54% in the total amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in India in 2015-16.

The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Uttarakhand was Rs. 115.15 crores in 2015-16. It had a share of 6.7% in the total amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in India in 2015-16. The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Rajasthan was Rs. 104.4 crores in 2015-16. It had a share of 6.07% in the total amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in India in 2015-16.

There were 9 states having amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects of more than Rs. 90 crores viz. Chhattisgarh, Tripura, Kerala, Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana in 2015-16.

The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Chhattisgarh was Rs. 99.94 crores in 2015-16 (5.81% share in All India). The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Tripura was Rs. 99.59 crores in 2015-16 (5.79% share in All India). The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Kerala was Rs. 99.22 crores in 2015-16 (5.77% share in All India).

The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Sikkim was Rs. 98.05 crores in 2015-16 (5.7% share in All India). The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Nagaland was Rs. 97.36 crores in 2015-16 (5.66% share in All India). The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Arunachal Pradesh was Rs. 97.14 crores in 2015-16 (5.65% share in All India).

The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Mizoram was Rs. 94.91 crores in 2015-16 (5.52% share in All India). The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 92.22 crores in 2015-16 (5.36% share in All India). The amount sanctioned for eco-tourism projects in Telangana was Rs. 91.62 crores in 2015-16 (5.33% share in All India).
