Funds Released under National Rural Drinking Water Programme as on 3.05.2016

The release of funds under National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) in India was Rs. 819.67 crores as on 3.05.2016. The top 10 states in terms of the release of funds under NRDWP were: Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Gujarat and West Bengal as on 3.05.2016.

The release of funds under NRDWP for Rajasthan was Rs. 85.69 crores as on 3.05.2016. It was 10.45% of the release of funds under NRDWP in India as on 3.05.2016.

The release of funds under NRDWP for Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 84.04 crores as on 3.05.2016. It was 10.25% of the release of funds under NRDWP in India as on 3.05.2016. The release of funds under NRDWP for Maharashtra was Rs. 80.26 crores as on 3.05.2016. It was 9.79% of the release of funds under NRDWP in India as on 3.05.2016.

The release of funds under NRDWP for Jammu and Kashmir was Rs. 53.26 crores as on 3.05.2016. It was 6.5% of the release of funds under NRDWP in India as on 3.05.2016. The release of funds under NRDWP for Karnataka was Rs. 52.68 crores as on 3.05.2016. It was 6.43% of the release of funds under NRDWP in India as on 3.05.2016.

These top 5 states accounted for 43.42% of the total release of funds under NRDWP in India as a whole as on 3.05.2016.

The release of funds under NRDWP for Madhya Pradesh was Rs. 46.92 crores as on 3.05.2016 (5.72% of All India). The release of funds under NRDWP for Bihar was Rs. 45.93 crores as on 3.05.2016 (5.6% of All India). The release of funds under NRDWP for Assam was Rs. 41.08 crores as on 3.05.2016 (5.01% of All India). The release of funds under NRDWP for Gujarat was Rs. 40.91 crores as on 3.05.2016 (4.99% of All India). The release of funds under NRDWP for West Bengal was Rs. 36.14 crores as on 3.05.2016 (4.41% of All India).

The above mentioned top 10 states accounted for 69.15% of the total release of funds under NRDWP in India as a whole as on 3.05.2016.
