Import of Synthetic Fibres in India during 2014-15

The total import of Acrylic Fibre was 36339 metric tonne in the year 2014-15. It increased from 32990 metric tonne in the year 2013-14, recording a growth of 3349 metric tonne (10.15%) as compared to the year 2013-14.

The total import of Nylon Filament Yarn was 27813 metric tonne in the year 2014-15. It increased from 24295 metric tonne in the year 2013-14, recording a growth of 3518 metric tonne (14.48%) as compared to the year 2013-14.

The total import of Nylon Industrial Yarn/Tyre Cord was 3750 metric tonne in the year 2014-15. It decreased from 7022 metric tonne in the year 2013-14, recording a decrease of -3272 metric tonne (-46.6%) as compared to the year 2013-14.

The total import of Polyester Filament Yarn was 72718 metric tonne in the year 2014-15. It increased from 46713 metric tonne in the year 2013-14, recording a growth of 26005 metric tonne (55.67%) as compared to the year 2013-14.

The total import of Polyester Staple Fibre was 81864 metric tonne in the year 2014-15. It increased from 42635 metric tonne in the year 2013-14, recording a growth of 39229 metric tonne (92.01%) as compared to the year 2013-14.

The total import of Polypropylene Filament Yarn was 716 metric tonne in the year 2014-15. It decreased from 792 metric tonne in the year 2013-14, recording a decrease of -76 metric tonne (-9.6%) as compared to the year 2013-14.

The total import of Polypropylene Staple Fibre was 329 metric tonne in the year 2014-15. It decreased from 401 metric tonne in the year 2013-14, recording a decrease of -72 metric tonne (-17.96%) as compared to the year 2013-14.
