Copper Ore Production in Various States from 2009-10 to 2013-14

The production of Copper Ore in India was 3777764 tonnes during the year 2013-14(P). It recorded a growth of 506595 tonnes during the period from 2009-10 to 2013-14(P). In percentage terms, the total growth was 15.49% during the same period.

The production of Copper Ore in India was mainly concentrated in the three states of the country namely Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand. The state of Madhya Pradesh had a dominant role in the production of Copper Ore in India and accounted for more than half of the production of Copper Ore in India e.g. 62.9% of the total production of Copper Ore in India during the year 2013-14(P).

The production of Copper Ore in Madhya Pradesh was 2376183 tonnes during the year 2013-14(P). It recorded a growth of 400245 tonnes during the period from 2009-10 to 2013-14(P). In percentage terms, the total growth was 20.26% during the same period. The state accounted for 62.9% of the total production of Copper Ore in India during the year 2013-14(P).

The production of Copper Ore in Rajasthan was 1003012 tonnes during the year 2013-14(P). It recorded a growth of 95624 tonnes during the period from 2009-10 to 2013-14(P). In percentage terms, the total growth was 10.54% during the same period. The state accounted for 26.55% of the total production of Copper Ore in India during the year 2013-14(P).

The production of Copper Ore in Jharkhand was 398569 tonnes during the year 2013-14(P). It recorded a growth of 10726 tonnes during the period from 2009-10 to 2013-14(P). In percentage terms, the total growth was 2.77% during the same period. The state accounted for 10.55% of the total production of Copper Ore in India during the year 2013-14(P).
