Traffic handled at Non-Major Ports in Andaman and Nicobar Islands from 2000-01 to 2013-14

The total traffic handled at non-major ports in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in 2000-01 was 565 thousand tonnes and it increased to 1149 thousand tonnes in 2013-14, recording a growth of 103.36% during the period of 2000-01 to 2013-14.

The traffic handled at non-major ports in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Total Unloaded category in 2000-01 was 450 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled at non-major ports in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Total Unloaded category in 2001-02 was 455 thousand tonnes. It recorded 1.11% growth over the previous year. The traffic handled at non-major ports in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Total Unloaded category in 2005-06 was 640 thousand tonnes. It recorded 6.67% growth over the previous year. The traffic handled at non-major ports in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Total Unloaded category in 2010-11 was 1001 thousand tonnes. It recorded -11.88% decline over the previous year. The traffic handled at non-major ports in Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Total Unloaded category in 2013-14 was 848 thousand tonnes. It recorded -1.51% decline over the previous year. The total growth recorded during 2000-01 to 2013-14 was 88.44%.

The traffic handled in Total Loaded category in 2000-01 was 115 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Total Loaded category in 2001-02 was 363 thousand tonnes. It recorded 215.65% growth over the previous year. The traffic handled in Total Loaded category in 2005-06 was 275 thousand tonnes. It recorded 11.34% growth over the previous year. The traffic handled in Total Loaded category in 2010-11 was 352 thousand tonnes. It recorded -31.78% decline over the previous year. The traffic handled in Total Loaded category in 2013-14 was 301 thousand tonnes. It recorded 46.83% growth over the previous year. The total growth recorded during 2000-01 to 2013-14 was 161.74%.

Note: Figures in (000 Tonnes), for 2010-11: Container cargo is included in Overseas Unloaded (3.25 Lakh tonnes), For 2011-12: Container cargo is included in Coastal Unloaded (2.84 Lakh tonnes), For 2012-13: Container cargo is included in Coastal Unloaded (2.40 Lakh tonnes) and Loaded (0.51 Lakh tonnes), For 2013-14: Container cargo is included in Coastal Unloaded (2.49 Lakh tonnes) and Loaded (.60 Lakhs tonnes).
