The traffic handled in Overseas Loaded category in 2000-01 was 287 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Coastal Unloaded category in 2000-01 was 110 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Coastal Loaded category in 2000-01 was 94 thousand tonnes.

The traffic handled at non-major ports in Karnataka in the Overseas Unloaded category in 2001-02 was 172 thousand tonnes. It recorded -7.03% decrease over the previous year.
