Increasing trend has been seen in India in Schools having Kitchen-Shed (Government and Aided Managements) 41.19% in 2010-11 and 60.43% in 2012-13. Tamil Nadu has highest Percentage of Schools having Kitchen-Shed (Government and Aided Managements) 88.77% in 2012-13 and 88.62% in 2010-11 in comparison to other states. Goa has lowest Percentage of Schools having Kitchen-Shed (Government and Aided Managements) 0.00% 2012-13 in comparison to other states followed by 3.65% in 2010-11. Eighteen States viz. A & N Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Goa, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Odisha and Puducherry are below the National estimate 60.43% in 2012-13.
