Trends in Child Delivery at Health Facilities (Institutional Delivery) across India from 2008-09 to 2012-13

Increasing trend has been seen in India in Percentage of Institutional Deliveries 70.625% in 2008-09 and 82.864% in 2012-13. Lakshadweep has highest Percentage of Institutional Deliveries 100% in both the years 2008-09 and 2012-13. Meghalaya has lowest Percentage of Institutional Deliveries 51.134% in 2012-13 in comparison to other states followed by 35.816% in 2008-09.

Eleven States/UTs viz. Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Uttarakhand are below the National estimate 82.864% in 2012-13.
