Polio Immunisation Achievement across India during 2008 to 2013

Highest growth in achievement percentage of polio immunisation in 2012-13 w.r.t 2008-09, has been observed for Lakshadweep (grew by 591.91% from 13.6% in 2008-09 to 94.1% in 2012-13), followed by Mizoram (grew by 134.35% from 58.34% in 2008-09 to 136.72% in 2012-13) and Nagaland (grew by 91.45%% from 41.73% in 2008-09 to 79.89% in 2012-13). Polio immunisation achievement percentage in India declined by 11.79% from 99.4% in 2008-09 to 87.68% in 2012-13, but in comparison to 2011-12, it grew by 2.65%.

In 2012-13, top 10 states in terms of polio immunisation achievement percentage were Mizoram, Manipur, Goa, Meghalaya, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala & bottom 10 states were Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, Puducherry, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh and Daman and Diu.
