Market Share of Top 5 Wireline Service Providers as of June 2013

As of June 2013, top five service providers according to wireline subscriber base were BSNL, MTNL, Bharti, Reliance and Tata.

BSNL was the market leader with the market share of 66.9% and with a subscriber base of 19.89 million. MTNL stood at the second position with the market share of 11.9% and with a subscriber base of 3.55 million. Subscriber base of BSNL declined by 2.7% from 20.45 million at the end of March-13 to 19.89 million at the end of June-13. Among top five service providers, highest quarterly growth was observed for MTNL, which grew at 2.6% from 3.46 million at the end of March-13 to 3.55 million as of June-13.
