Production of Man-Made Fibre Fabrics in India during 2000-13

During 2000-13, Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of India’s overall production of man-made fibre fabrics was 2.9 %. During this period, production increased by 41.1% from 13198000 thousand sq. metre in 2000-01 to 18624000 thousand sq. metre in 2012-13. CAGR of India’s production of man-made fibre fabrics (By handlooms and power looms and Hosiery) was 3.0% during 2000-13. During this period, production increased by 43.2% from 12966000 thousand sq. metre in 2000-01 to 18565000 thousand sq. metre in 2012-13.

During 2000-13, CAGR of India’s production of man-made fibre fabrics (By textile mills) was declined by 10.8%. During this period, production decreased by 74.6% from 232000 thousand sq. metre in 2000-01 to 59000 thousand sq. metre in 2012-13.
