Top 10 states with estimates of milk production by Exotic/Crossbred Cow in India during 2012-2013

As a single country India stands rank 1 in terms of milk production in the world. In 2012-2013, estimates of milk production by Exotic/Crossbred cow in whole India was 32383.95 thousand tonnes.

Top 10 states that contributed its part in milk production were Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

In Tamil Nadu, estimates of milk production was 5580.28 thousand tonnes that was 17.2% of India. In Maharashtra, estimates of milk production was 3415.66 thousand tonnes that was 10.5% of India. In Punjab, estimates of milk production was 2782.07 thousand tonnes that was 8.6% of India.In Kerala, estimates of milk production was 2639.01 thousand tonnes that was 8.1% of India. In Karnataka, estimates of milk production was 2514.85 thousand tonnes that was 7.8% of India.

In Andhra Pradesh, estimates of milk production was 2500.6 thousand tonnes that was 7.7% of India. In West Bengal, estimates of milk production was 2120.72 thousand tonnes that was 6.5% of India. In Gujarat, estimates of milk production was 1995.65 thousand tonnes that was 6.2% of India. In Uttar Pradesh, estimates of milk production was 1695.26 thousand tonnes that was 5.2% of India. In Bihar, estimates of milk production was 1444.07 thousand tonnes that was 4.5% of India.
