The Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) has increased from Rs. 1696.85 crores in 2001-02 to Rs. 6712.39 crores in 2013-14. It has shown an increase of Rs. 5015.54 crores in Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during this period. The average annual growth rate recorded during this period is 24.63%.
The top five years with the highest Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year in the period between 2001-02 and 2013-14 were: 2009-10 (Rs. 13648.99 crores Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year); 2006-07 (Rs. 11116.59 crores Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year); 2007-08 (Rs. 9644.3 crores Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year); 2010-11 (Rs. 9610.94 crores Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year) and 2011-12 (Rs. 9089 crores Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year).
The top five years with the highest % growth in Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year in the period between 2001-02 and 2013-14 were: 2001-02 (156.07% growth in Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year); 2002-03 (97.3% growth in Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year); 2003-04 (77.72% growth in Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year); 2009-10 (56.29% growth in Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year) and 2006-07 (26% growth in Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the financial year).
There was decline in Sum Assured under Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) during the six financial years during the period between 2001-02 and 2013-14 which are as follows: 2007-08, 2008-09, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.
