Total Investment and Capital at Charge of Railway from 2000-01 to 2013-14

The Total Investment of Railways was Rs. 63341 crores during the year 2000-01. The Capital at Charge of Railways was Rs. 43051.8 crores during the year 2000-01.

The Total Investment of Railways was Rs. 70117.5 crores during the year 2001-02. It increased by 6776.5 crores as compared to the year 2000-01. In percentage terms, the growth was 10.7% during the period. The Capital at Charge of Railways was Rs. 47147.3 crores during the year 2001-02. It increased by 4095.5 crores as compared to the year 2000-01. In percentage terms, the growth was 9.51% during the period.

The Total Investment of Railways was Rs. 112180.4 crores during the year 2005-06. It increased by 42062.9 crores as compared to the year 2001-02. In percentage terms, the growth was 59.99% during the period. The Capital at Charge of Railways was Rs. 65878.4 crores during the year 2005-06. It increased by 18731.1 crores as compared to the year 2001-02. In percentage terms, the growth was 39.73% during the period.

The Total Investment of Railways was Rs. 231121.1 crores during the year 2010-11. It increased by 118940.7 crores as compared to the year 2005-06. In percentage terms, the growth was 106.03% during the period. The Capital at Charge of Railways was Rs. 118586.3 crores during the year 2010-11. It increased by 52707.9 crores as compared to the year 2005-06. In percentage terms, the growth was 80.01% during the period.

The Total Investment of Railways was Rs. 324820.6 crores during the year 2013-14. It increased by 93699.5 crores as compared to the year 2010-11. In percentage terms, the growth was 40.54% during the period. The Capital at Charge of Railways was Rs. 189746.2 crores during the year 2013-14. It increased by 71159.9 crores as compared to the year 2010-11. In percentage terms, the growth was 60.01% during the period.
