State/UT-wise Total Number of Girl Students Encouraged to Promote Science Education under Vigyan Jyoti Programme from 2022-23 to 2024-25

This chart presents the State/UT-wise data on the total number of girl students encouraged to pursue science education under the Vigyan Jyoti Programme during the period 2022-23 to 2024-25. The initiative aims to promote STEM education among meritorious girl students, especially from underrepresented and marginalized communities. The total number of girl students encouraged from 2022-23 to 2024-25 was 29,443. The top 5 States with the Highest Participation are in Uttar Pradesh (5,353), Maharashtra (4,206), Gujarat (4,055), Rajasthan (3,895) and Madhya Pradesh (3,619). This data reflects the growing outreach and impact of the Vigyan Jyoti Programme in encouraging young girls across India to explore careers in science and technology.
