This chart shows the State/UT-wise number of companies registered under the Companies Act during 2024-25. As of 26 January 2025, the total number of registered companies under the Companies Act was 1,38,027. The Top 5 State/UT where the highest number of companies registered were Maharashtra (23,733), Uttar Pradesh (15,150), Delhi (12,373), Karnataka (10,332) and Tamil Nadu (9,636).
