Year-wise Total Digital Transactions including Transactions through Unified Payment Interface (UPI) from 2020-21 to 2024-25

The chart presents the year-wise total digital transactions, including transactions processed through the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), from 2020-21 to 2024-25 (till January 2025). Over this period, the total digital transaction volume reached 57,526.02 crore and value in Rs.10,004.4 lakh crore, including UPI transactions. the highest total digital payment transaction volume was 18,120.82 crore in 2024-25 and value in Rs.2,428.24 lakh crore in 2023-24. the lowest digital payment transaction volume was 4,370.68 crore and value in Rs.1,414.58 lakh crore in 2020-21. The data highlights the significant growth in digital transactions, with notable increases in both overall digital payments and UPI-based transactions across the years.
