State/UT-wise Number of Anganwadi Workers as on 31-12-2023

This chart shows information about the State/UT-wise number of anganwadi workers in the country as on 31-12-2023. The anganwadi services is a centrally sponsored scheme and the implementation of the scheme falls under the ambit of State Government/UT administration. The total number of anganwadi workers were 13,48,135 in the country. The highest number of anganwadi worker was 1,82,741 in Uttar Pradesh and the lowest number of anganwadi worker were 60 in Lakshadweep.
