The stacked bar graph represents the quantity of graphite electrodes exported and imported, including by the steel plants from 2017-18 to 2022-23 (Apr-Jan). During the steelmaking process, graphite electrodes play a crucial role as conductors of electrical energy, facilitating the melting of scrap steel and the refinement into high-quality steel. The data reveals that the highest import of graphite electrodes occurred during the fiscal year 2021-22 (i.e. 25.41 thousand tonnes), while the highest export of graphite electrodes took place in the fiscal year 2018-19, totalling 25.12 thousand tonnes.
