There were 1853787719 and 2321982663 domestic tourists visited in India during 2018 and 2019 respectively. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to domestic tourists visited during 2019 were Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Telengana, Gujrat and Rajasthan.

During 2019, the number of domestic tourists visited was 535855162, 494865257, 237051508, 227934714, 149294703, 92366025, 88707139, 83035894, 58864661 and 52220431 in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Telengana, Gujrat and Rajasthan respectively.
