Top 10 States/UTs with respect to Candidates Trained under PMKVY 2.0 during 2019-20

India has witnessed a growth of 34% in candidates trained under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 2.0 to 2,538,356 during 2019-20 against 1,894,841 during 2018-19. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to candidates trained under PMKVY 2.0 during 2019-20 were Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, Haryana, Assam and Delhi.

The number of candidates trained in Maharashtra was 168,695 under PMKVY 2.0 in 2018-19. It has surged by 160.2% to 438,990 during 2019-20 above 2018-19. We have observed annual growth of 17.8% in candidates trained under PMKVY 2.0 in Uttar Pradesh from 275,269 during 2018-19 to 324,375 during 2019-20. The number of candidates trained under PMKVY 2.0 in Rajasthan was 250,726 during 2019-20, up by 84.5% versus 135,859 during 2018-19. Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan accounted for 17.29%, 12.78% and 9.88% of the total candidates trained under PMKVY 2.0 in India during 2019-20.

There were 145,379 and 137,114 trained candidates under PMKVY 2.0 in Odisha and Madhya Pradesh respectively during 2019-20. Odisha accounted for 5.73% and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 5.4% of the total candidates trained under PMKVY 2.0 during 2019-20.

During 2019-20, the number of candidates trained under PMKVY 2.0 was 114,028, 111,247, 101,020, 97,281 and 96,577 in Karnataka, Bihar, Haryana, Assam and Delhi respectively.
