State/UT-wise Women Borrowers Benefitted under PMMY As on 31st Jan 2020

As on 31st January 2020, over 15 crore women borrowers were benefitted in India, amounting to Rs. 4.78 lakh crore under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY). The top 5 States/UTs with respect to women borrowers benefitted under PMMY as on 31.01.2020 were Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Karnataka, Bihar and Maharashtra.

The number of women borrowers benefitted under PMMY was 19,042,556 in Tamil Nadu as on 31st Jan 2020, which accounted 12.09% of the total women borrowers benefitted under PMMY in India. There were 18,176,571 beneficiaries of women borrowers under PMMY in West Bengal as on 31/01/2020. It accounted 11.54% of the total women borrowers benefitted under PMMY in India as on the same period. The number of women borrowers benefitted under PMMY was 16,169,488 in Karnataka as on 31.01.2020, which accounted 10.26% of the total women borrowers benefitted under PMMY in India.

There were 15,907,522 and 14,469,135 beneficiaries of women borrowers under PMMY in Bihar and Maharashtra respectively as on 31st January 2020. Bihar accounted for 10.1% and Maharashtra accounted for 9.18% of the total women borrowers benefitted under PMMY in India as on 31/01/2020.
