Access and Benefit Sharing Agreements Signed in India from 2015-16 to 2019-20

The number of access and benefit sharing (ABS) agreements signed was 92 in India during 2015-16. It has surged by 97.83% to 182 during 2016-17 above 2015-16. We have seen annual de-growth of -10.44% in ABS agreements signed in India during 2018-19 from 316 during 2017-18. The number of ABS agreements signed in India was 300 during 2019-20, up by 6.01% versus 283 during 2018-19.

The maximum annual growth of 97.83% has been found in 2016-17 in ABS agreements signed in India during the period under consideration.
