The total amount of Rs. 15,897.2 crore was deposited by private telecom companies as a part of licensing agreement as per directions of the Supreme Court of India as on 28th Feb 2020.
As on 28th Feb 2020, the highest amount of Rs. 9,500 crore was being deposited by Bharti Airtel Group of Companies as a part of licensing agreement as per directions of the Supreme Court of India, followed by Vodafone Idea Limited and Tata Group of Companies. Bharti Airtel Group of Companies accounted for 59.76% of the total amount deposited by private telecom companies as a part of licensing agreement as per directions of the Supreme Court of India as on 28.02.2020. The amount deposited by Vodafone Idea Limited was Rs. 3,500 crore as a part of licensing agreement as per directions of the Supreme Court of India as on 28-02-2020, which accounted 22.02% of the total amount deposited by private telecom companies as a part of licensing agreement as per directions of the Supreme Court of India. There was deposit of Rs. 2,197.37 crore by Tata Group of Companies as a part of licensing agreement as per directions of the Supreme Court of India as on 28.02.2020. It accounted 13.82% of the total amount deposited by private telecom companies as a part of licensing agreement as per directions of the Supreme Court of India as on the same period.
The amount deposited by Telenor India Private Ltd., Reliance Jio Infocom Ltd., Reliance Communication Ltd. /Reliance Telecommunication Ltd. and Quadrant Televentures Ltd. was Rs. 500, 195.18, 3.96 and 0.69 crore respectively as a part of licensing agreement as per directions of the Supreme Court of India as on 28th Feb 2020.
