Total utilization of fund was Rs. 1,836,428.865 lakh in India under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) during 2018-19, down by -67.05% against Rs. 5,572,536.945 lakh during 2017-18. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to fund utilized under PMAY-G during 2018-19 were Bihar, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Gujarat and Karnataka.
Utilization of fund was Rs. 389,588.545 lakh in Bihar under PMAY-G during 2017-18. It has surged by 6.35% to Rs. 414,314.115 lakh during 2018-19 over 2017-18. We have seen annual decline of -43.2% in utilization of fund in Rajasthan under PMAY-G from Rs. 433,031.415 lakh during 2017-18 to Rs. 245,961.1 lakh during 2018-19. The fund utilized in Chhattisgarh was Rs. 244,276.942 lakh under PMAY-G during 2018-19, down by -42.2% versus Rs. 422,649.105 lakh during 2017-18. Bihar, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh accounted for 22.56%, 13.39% and 13.3% respectively of the total fund utilized in India under PMAY-G during 2018-19.
There was utilization of Rs. 222,455.778 lakh and Rs. 207,364.19 lakh in Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh respectively under PMAY-G during 2018-19. Jharkhand accounted for 12.11% and Uttar Pradesh accounted for 11.29% of the total fund utilized in India under PMAY-G during 2018-19.
The fund utilized under PMAY-G was Rs. 149,083.635, 105,593.65, 88,706.698, 60,782.92 and 22,658.391 lakh in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Gujarat and Karnataka respectively during 2018-19.
