Performance of India in Major Multi-Sports Events during 2018

Our country India had won 220 medals in major multi sports events during 2018. Out of these medals won in 2018; 66, 69, 72 and 13 medals were won in Commonwealth games, Asian games, Para Asian games and Youth Olympic games respectively.

During 2018, the number of gold, silver and bronze medals won by India was 26, 20 and 20 respectively in Commonwealth games. Gold, silver and bronze accounted for 39.4%, 30.3% and 30.3% respectively of the total medals received by India in Commonwealth games during the same period. In Asian games, India had won 15 (21.7%) medals in gold, 24 (34.8%) medals in silver and 30 (43.5%) medals in bronze category during 2018. The number of gold, silver and bronze medals won by India was 15 (20.8%), 24 (33.4%) and 33 (45.8%) respectively in Para Asian games during 2018. India had received 3 (23.1%) medals in gold, 9 (69.2%) medals in silver and 1 (7.7%) medal in bronze category in Youth Olympic games during 2018.
