Expenditure under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana from 2015-16 to 2017-18

The total expenditure was Rs. 13646.66 crores in India under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018). The top 5 States/UTs with respect to expenditure under PMGSY during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018) were Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.

Expenditure incurred under PMGSY was Rs. 2200.42 crores in Orisha during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018), up by 48.74% against Rs. 1479.39 crores during 2016-17. Odisha accounted 16.12% of the total expenditure under PMGSY during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018). We have observed growth of 21.03% of expenditure under PMGSY in Madhya Pradesh from Rs. 1393.94 crores during 2016-17 to Rs. 1687.12 crores during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018). Madhya Pradesh accounted 12.36% of the total expenditure under PMGSY during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018). Expenditure incurred in Uttar Pradesh was Rs. 900.57 crores under PMGSY during 2016-17. It has increased by 75.9% to Rs. 584.14 crores during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018) versus during 2016-17. Uttar Pradesh accounted 11.61% of the total expenditure under PMGSY during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018).

Expenditure incurred under PMGSY was Rs. 1254.08 crores in Bihar and Rs. 1027.43 crores in Jharkhand during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018). We have seen growth of -55.69% and 57.43% of expenditure in Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand respectively during 2017-18 (upto February, 2018) above 2016-17.
