State/UT-wise Male Health Workers at Sub Centres in Rural Areas As on 31st March 2019

There were 59,348 (71.63%) male health workers in position at sub centres in rural areas of India as on 31st March 2019, out of sanctioned strength of 82,857. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to male health workers in position at sub centres in rural areas as on 31/03/2019 were Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

The number of male health workers at sub centres in rural areas of Gujarat was 7,940 as on 31st March 2019, which accounted 13.38% of the total male health workers at sub centres in rural areas of India. There were 6,529 male health workers at sub centres in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh as on 31.03.2019. It accounted 11% of the total male health workers at sub centres in rural areas of India as on the same period. The number of male health workers at sub centres in rural areas of Maharashtra was 5,372 as on 31/03/2019, which accounted 9.05% of the total male health workers at sub centres in rural areas of India.

As on 31st March 2019, there were 3,969 and 3,860 male health workers at sub centres in rural areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh respectively. Madhya Pradesh accounted for 6.69% and Chhattisgarh accounted for 6.5% of the total male health workers at sub centres in rural areas of India as on 31.03.2019.
