Consumption of Naphtha by Public & Private Sector of India from 2011-12 to 2017-18

Consumption of Naphtha by public sector of India was 4,139 thousand tonnes in 2011-12. It has increased by 25.56% to 5,197 thousand tonnes during 2012-13 above 2011-12. Annual growth of 2.4% has been seen in consumption of Naphtha by public sector of India during 2016-17 from 4,790 thousand tonnes during 2015-16. Consumption of Naphtha by public sector of India was 5,199 thousand tonnes during 2017-18, up by 5.99% against 4,905 thousand tonnes during 2016-17.

Consumption of Naphtha by private sector of India was 7,083 thousand tonnes in 2011-12. It has increased by 13 basis points to 7,092 thousand tonnes during 2012-13 above 2011-12. We have observed annual decline of -1.72% in consumption of Naphtha by private sector of India during 2016-17 from 8,481 thousand tonnes during 2015-16. Consumption of Naphtha by private sector of India was 7,350 thousand tonnes during 2017-18, down by -11.82% versus 8,335 thousand tonnes during 2016-17.

Maximum of 5,414 thousand tonnes has been found in 2013-14 in consumption of Naphtha by public sector of India during the period under consideration. Maximum of 8,481 thousand tonnes has been seen in 2015-16 in consumption of Naphtha by private sector of India during the period under consideration.
