The Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP) was rolled out in 2016 as part of the National Health Mission (NHM) for provision of free dialysis services to the poor. It is implemented in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. During 2017-18, total approval of Rs. 8771.33 lakhs was there in India for State Programme Implementation Plan (SPIP) under PMNDP. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to SPIP Approval under PMNDP during 2017-18 were Gujarat, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Telangana, Orissa, Manipur and Himachal Pradesh.
The amount approved for Gujarat was Rs. 2162.42 lakhs for SPIP under PMNDP during 2017-18, which accounted 24.65% of the total amount approved for SPIP under PMNDP in India. There was approval of Rs. 1600 lakhs for SPIP under PMNDP for Bihar during 2017-18. It accounted 18.24% of the total amount approved under PMNDP in India during the same period. The amount approved for Andhra Pradesh was Rs. 1129.92 lakhs for SPIP under PMNDP during 2017-18, which accounted 12.88% of the total amount approved for SPIP under PMNDP in India.
There was approval of Rs. 1000 lakhs and Rs. 571.44 lakhs for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh respectively for SPIP under PMNDP during 2017-18. Rajasthan accounted for 11.4% and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 6.51% of the total amount approved for SPIP under PMNDP in India during the same period.
During 2017-18, the amount approved for Assam, Telangana, Orissa, Manipur and Himachal Pradesh was Rs. 500, 400, 358.45, 300 and 200 lakhs respectively for SPIP under PMNDP.
