Domestic Coal Production in India from 2013-14 to 2017-18

India has witnessed an increasing trend in domestic coal production from 2013-14 to 2017-18. However we have observed compound annual growth rate of 4.57% in production of coal in India during the same period.

Domestic coal production in India was 565.77 MT during 2013-14. It has increased by 7.67% to 609.18 MT during 2014-15 above 2013-14. In absolute term the coal production in India increased by 43.41 MT in 2014-15 against 2013-14. Annual growth of 2.92% has been seen in production of coal in India during 2016-17 from 639.23 MT during 2015-16. Coal production in India was 676.48 MT during 2017-18, up by 2.83% versus 657.87 MT during 2016-17. In absolute term the production of coal in India increased by 18.61 MT in 2017-18 above 2016-17.
