Expenditure incurred by Railway PSUs under Corporate Social Responsibility from 2015-16 to 2017-18

There were nine Railway PSUs namely MRVC, RailTel, IRCON, RITES, RVNL, CONCOR, DFCCIL, IRCTC and IRFC which were incurred expenditure under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) during 2015-16 to 2017-18. The top 3 PSUs with respect to expenditure incurred under CSR from 2015-16 to 2017-18 were CONCOR, IRFC and RITES.

Amount of Rs. 3096 lakhs was spent by CONCOR under CSR during 2015-16. It has decreased by -21.03% during 2016-17 over 2015-16. We have seen annual decline of -35.58% in expenditure incurred by CONCOR under CSR from Rs. 2445 lakhs during 2016-17 to Rs. 1575 lakhs during 2017-18.

Expenditure incurred by IRFC under CSR was Rs. 2962.67 lakhs during 2015-16. It has declined by -46.97% during 2016-17 over 2015-16. Expenditure incurred by IRFC under CSR was Rs. 1320.85 lakhs during 2017-18, down by -15.92% against Rs. 1570.96 lakhs during 2016-17.

Amount of Rs. 827.78 lakhs was spent by RITES under CSR during 2015-16. It has increased by 11.15% during 2016-17 over 2015-16. Annual growth of 7.66% has been observed in expenditure incurred by RITES under CSR to Rs. 990.52 lakhs during 2017-18 from Rs. 920.08 lakhs during 2016-17.
