Community/Public Toilets Constructed under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) as on 30th November 2018

There were 445571 community/public toilets constructed in India under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) [SBM (U)] as on 30th November 2018. The top 5 States/UTs with respect to number of community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) as on 30-11-2018 were Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.

The number of community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) was 106134 in Maharashtra as on 30-11-2018, which accounted 23.82% of the total community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) in India. There were 84641 community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) in Tamil Nadu as on 30th November 2018. It accounted 19% of the total community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) in India as on the same time period. The number of community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) was 40029 in Uttar Pradesh as on 30-11-2018, which accounted 8.98% of the total community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) in India.

There were 27222 and 26619 community/public toilets constructed in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh respectively under SBM (U) as on 30th November 2018. Karnataka accounted for 6.11% and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 5.97% of the total community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) in India as on 30-11-2018.

The above mentioned top 5 states accounted for 63.88% of the total community/public toilets constructed under SBM (U) in India as a whole as on 30th November 2018.
