Flight Crew Licences Issued in India from 2017 to 2019

In India 1361 flight crew licences had been issued during 2018, up by 14% versus issue of 1194 flight crew licences during 2017. Out of total 1361 licences issued during 2018, 44% were issued as Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence, 48% were issued as Commercial Pilot’s Licence and 8% were issued as Private Pilot’s Licence.

The number of licences issued as Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence was 495 during 2017. It has increased by 19.8% to 593 licences during 2018 above 2017. The number of licences issued as Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence was 59 during 2019 (up to 31.01.2019). We have observed annual growth of 11.1% in issue of Commercial Pilot’s Licence from 593 licences during 2017 to 659 licences during 2018. The number of licences issued as Commercial Pilot’s Licence was 57 during 2019 (up to 31.01.2019). The number of licences issued as Private Pilot’s Licence was 109 during 2018, up by 2.8% against 106 licences issued during 2017. The number of licences issued as Private Pilot’s Licence was 7 during 2019 (up to 31.01.2019).
