Trainees Enrolled under Craftsmen Training Scheme Implemented by ITIs from 2014-15 to 2018-19

India has witnessed an increasing trend in trainees enrolled under craftsmen training scheme implemented by Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) from 2014-15 to 2018-19. We have seen compound annual growth rate of 11.35% in trainees enrolled under craftsmen training scheme implemented by ITIs during 2014-15 to 2018-19.

The number of trainees enrolled under craftsmen training scheme implemented by ITIs was 9.42 lakhs in 2014-15. It has increased by 16.88% to 11.01 lakhs during 2015-16 above 2014-15. Annual growth of 6.85% has been observed in trainees enrolled under craftsmen training scheme implemented by ITIs during 2017-18 from 11.39 lakhs during 2016-17. The number of trainees enrolled under craftsmen training scheme implemented by ITIs was 14.48 lakhs during 2018-19, up by 18.98% against 12.17 lakhs during 2017-18.

The maximum annual growth of 18.98% has been found in 2018-19 in trainees enrolled under craftsmen training scheme implemented by ITIs during the period under consideration.
