The traffic handled in Coastal Unloaded category in 2000-01 was 58 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Coastal Loaded category in 2000-01 was 48 thousand tonnes.

The traffic handled at non-major ports in Kerala in the Overseas Unloaded category in 2001-02 was 1 thousand tonnes. The traffic handled in Overseas Loaded category in 2001-02 was 2 thousand tonnes. It recorded -96.3% decline over the previous year. The traffic handled in Coastal Unloaded category in 2001-02 was 91 thousand tonnes. It recorded 56.9% growth over the previous year. The traffic handled in Coastal Loaded category in 2001-02 was 33 thousand tonnes. It recorded -31.25% decline over the previous year.
