Total Works Taken-up under MGNREGA (State-wise) from 2010-11 to 2012-13

The top 5 States in terms of total works taken-up under MGNREGA in 2012-13 were: Andhra Pradesh with 4666926 works (showing a growth of 3381350 or 263.02% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13 i.e. 131.51% per annum); Uttar Pradesh with 922767 works (showing a growth of 171070 or 22.76% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13 i.e. 11.38% pa); Madhya Pradesh with 750608 works (showing a growth of 63903 or 9.31% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13 i.e. 4.66% pa); West Bengal with 472855 works (showing a growth of 227286 or 92.55% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13 i.e. 46.28% pa) and Rajasthan with 435839 works (showing a growth of 245678 or 129.19% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13 i.e. 64.6% pa).

The 5 States/UTs with lowest number of total works under MGNREGA in 2012-13 were: Arunachal Pradesh with 2552 works (showing a growth of 1701 or 199.88% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13 ); Puducherry with 1741 works (showing a growth of 881 or 102.44% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13); Goa with 819 works (showing a growth of 59 or 7.76% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13); Andaman and Nicobar Islands with 173 works (showing a decline of -365 number of works or -67.84% during 2010-11 to 2012-13) and Lakshadweep with 128 works (showing a growth of 53 or 70.67% total growth during 2010-11 to 2012-13).
