Total cargo handled at Jawahar Lal Nehru Port (JNPT) was 697 thousand tonnes in 1989-90. It has surged by 190% to 2,022 thousand tonnes during 1990-91 above 1989-90. We have observed annual growth of 7% in total cargo handled at JNPT during 2018-19 from 66,004 thousand tonnes during 2017-18. Total cargo handled at JNPT was 68,449 thousand tonnes during 2019-20, down by -3% against 70,706 thousand tonnes during 2018-19.
