Top Ten States in Production of Non Metallic Minerals and Ores in 2013-14

In India, the total production of non metallic minerals and ores was worth Rs. 73,55,66,88 thousands in 2013-14 (P). Top three states viz. Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh accounted for 59.56% of total production value of non metallic minerals and ores in India.

Andhra Pradesh had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 19376703 thousands, which was 26.34% of the total production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs.73556688 thousands in All India. Rajasthan had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 17128515 thousands, which was 23.29% of the total production value in India. Madhya Pradesh had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 7306019 thousands, which was 9.93% of the total production value in India. Tamil Nadu had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 6182598 thousands, which was 8.41% of the total production value in India. Chhattisgarh had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 4921513 thousands, which was 6.69% of the total production value in India.

Gujarat had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 4326710 thousands, which was 5.88% of the total production value in India. Karnataka had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 3457468 thousands, which was 4.7% of the total production value in India. Meghalaya had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 2283422 thousands, which was 3.1% of the total production value in India. Odisha had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 2047941 thousands, which was 2.78% of the total production value in India. Maharashtra had production of non metallic minerals and ores worth Rs. 1986269 thousands, which was 2.7% of the total production value in India.

These top ten states accounted for 93.82% of total production value of non metallic minerals and ores in India in 2013-14 (P).
