The top 5 states in terms of Ram/ Wether Wool Production in India in 2013-14 were: Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.
Rajasthan had 15026.77 Thousand Kg of Ram/ Wether Wool Production in 2013-14, which was 43.73% of the total 34361.81 Thousand Kg of Ram/ Wether Wool Production in India in the year. The total number of Ram/ Wether Sheep shorn was 124.31 lakhs with 1.21 Kg Ram/ Wether Average Yield/ season.
