Top 10 States/UTs in terms of fund utilised under Integrated Child Protection Scheme during 2015-16

The Ministry of Women and Child Development is implementing a Centrally Sponsored Scheme namely, Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) under which financial assistance is provided to the State Government/ UT Administrations for setting up and maintenance of various types of Homes including Homes for children in conflict with law, either by themselves or through voluntary organisations.

We have seen a growth of 92.37% in fund utilised in India under ICPS from Rs. 22541.71 lakhs during 2013-14 to Rs. 43364.59 lakhs during 2014-15. We have seen a growth of -25.87% in fund utilised in India under ICPS from Rs. 43364.59 lakhs during 2014-15 to Rs. 32146.97 lakhs during 2015-16. The top 5 States/UTs in terms of fund utilised in India under ICPS during 2015-16 were: Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Mizoram, Gujarat, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

We have seen a growth of 52.69% in fund released in Tamil Nadu under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund utilised in Tamil Nadu under ICPS was Rs. 4282.78 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 13.32% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period. We have seen a growth of -7.28% in fund released in Uttar Pradesh under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund utilised in Uttar Pradesh under ICPS was Rs. 3293.57 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 10.25% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period. We have seen a growth of -19.84% in fund released in Rajasthan under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund utilised in Rajasthan under ICPS was Rs. 2929.43 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 9.11% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period.

We have seen a growth of 49.46% in fund released in Odisha under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund utilised in Odisha under ICPS was Rs. 2669.74 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 8.3% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period. We have seen a growth of 13.23% in fund released in Madhya Pradesh under ICPS during 2015-16 over 2014-15. Fund utilised in Madhya Pradesh under ICPS was Rs. 2373.81 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 7.38% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period.

Fund utilised in Karnataka under ICPS was Rs. 2193.66 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 6.82% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period. Fund utilised in Mizoram under ICPS was Rs. 2079.44 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 6.47% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period. Fund utilised in Gujarat under ICPS was Rs. 1510.37 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 4.7% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period. Fund utilised in Meghalaya under ICPS was Rs. 1497.88 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 4.66% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period. Fund utilised in Nagaland under ICPS was Rs. 1473.21 lakhs during 2015-16. It accounted 4.58% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS during same time period.

The above mentioned top 10 states accounted for 75.6% of the total fund utilised in India under ICPS as a whole during 2015-16.
