Top 10 States/UTs having mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014

The total number of mobile medical units (MMU) functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Tamil Nadu was 385. Tamil Nadu accounted for 26.41% of total 1458 mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in India. Thus, Tamil Nadu was on top in terms of having mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 among all the states/UTs.

The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Uttar Pradesh was 133. Uttar Pradesh accounted for 9.12% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India. The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Karnataka was 114. Karnataka accounted for 7.82% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India. The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Odisha was 114. Odisha accounted for 7.82% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India. The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Madhya Pradesh was 108. Madhya Pradesh accounted for 7.41% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India.

The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Jharkhand was 100. Jharkhand accounted for 6.86% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India. The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Gujarat was 97. Gujarat accounted for 6.65% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India. The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Assam was 65. Assam accounted for 4.46% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India. The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Rajasthan was 52. Rajasthan accounted for 3.57% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India. The total number of mobile medical units functioning as on 31st March 2014 in Maharashtra was 40. Maharashtra accounted for 2.74% of total 1458 MMUs functioning in India.

Note: In U.T Chandigarh the concept of MMU has been changed to Alternative Medical Units.
