Top 10 States/UTs with respect to Participants took part in Nationwide Declamation Contest on Patriotism & Nation Building during 2017-18

Various programmes organised in different places of India for leadership development in order to ensure participation of youth in social and public fields and to make them responsible citizens. During 2017-18, 36,099 participants took part under 3,522 programmes in nationwide declamation contest on patriotism & nation building. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to participants took part in nationwide declamation contest on patriotism & nation building during 2017-18 was Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal & AI Island, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Maharashtra & Goa, Assam, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

The number of participants took part in declamation contest on patriotism & nation building from Bihar was 6,608 during 2017-18, up by 2186.51% against 289 during 2016-17. There were 348 participants took part in declamation contest on patriotism & nation building from Uttar Pradesh during 2016-17. It has increased by 1535.06% to 5,690 during 2017-18 above 2016-17. We have observed annual spike of 6846.97% in participants took part in declamation contest on patriotism & nation building from Odisha to 4,585 during 2017-18 versus 66 during 2016-17. Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha accounted for 18.31%, 15.76% and 12.7% respectively of the total participants took part in declamation contest on patriotism & nation building in India during 2017-18.

During 2017-18, there were 2,636 and 2,086 participants took part in declamation contest on patriotism & nation building from West Bengal & AI Island and Rajasthan respectively during 2017-18. West Bengal & AI Island accounted for 7.3% and Rajasthan accounted for 5.78% of the total participants took part in declamation contest on patriotism & nation building in India during 2017-18.

The number of participants took part in declamation contest on patriotism & nation building from Jharkhand, Maharashtra & Goa, Assam, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh was 1,878, 1,788, 1,294, 1,290 and 1,238 respectively during 2017-18.
