Top 10 States/UTs with respect to Laboratory Technicians in Position at PHCs in Urban Areas As on 31st March 2019

There were 1,933 (78.77%) laboratory technicians in position at primary health centres (PHCs) in urban areas in India as on 31st March 2019 against 2,454 sanctioned. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to laboratory technicians in position at PHCs in urban areas in India as on 31/03/2019 were Karnataka, West Bengal, Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh.

The number of laboratory technicians in position was 364 at PHCs in urban areas in Karnataka as on 31st March 2019, which accounted 18.83% of the total laboratory technicians in position at PHCs in urban areas in India. There were 305 laboratory technicians in position at PHCs in urban areas in West Bengal as on 31.03.2019. It accounted 15.78% of the total laboratory technicians in position at PHCs in urban areas in India as on the same period. The number of laboratory technicians in position was 240 at PHCs in urban areas in Delhi as on 31/03/2019, which accounted 12.42% of the total laboratory technicians in position at PHCs in urban areas in India.

There were 221 and 181 laboratory technicians in position at PHCs in urban areas in Gujarat and Maharashtra respectively as on 31st March 2019. Gujarat accounted for 11.43% and Maharashtra accounted for 9.36% of the total laboratory technicians in position at PHCs in urban areas in India as on 31.03.2019.

As on 31st March 2019, the number of laboratory technicians in position was 147, 92, 91, 46 and 39 at PHCs in urban areas in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh respectively.
