Funds utilized under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was Rs. 2,36,245.76 lakh in India during 2018-19, up by 621.2% against Rs. 32,757.71 lakh during 2017-18. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to funds utilized under PMMVY during 2018-19 were Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, West Bengal, Haryana and Kerala.
The amount utilized under PMMVY was Rs. 4,778.15 lakh by Uttar Pradesh in 2017-18. It has increased by 766.7% to Rs. 41,414.5 lakh during 2018-19 above 2017-18. We have seen annual growth of 486.3% in amount utilized by Madhya Pradesh under PMMVY to Rs. 33,785.11 lakh during 2018-19 from Rs. 5,762.48 lakh during 2017-18. Funds utilized by Rajasthan was Rs. 22,409.8 lakh under PMMVY during 2018-19, up by 2742.6% versus Rs. 788.35 lakh during 2017-18. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan accounted for 17.53%, 14.3% and 9.49% respectively of the total funds utilized under PMMVY in India during 2018-19.
During 2018-19, funds utilized under PMMVY was Rs. 22,028.56 lakh and Rs. 17,579.8 lakh by Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh respectively. Maharashtra accounted for 9.32% and Andhra Pradesh accounted for 7.44% of the total funds utilized under PMMVY in India during 2018-19.
The amount of funds utilized by Karnataka, Gujarat, West Bengal, Haryana and Kerala was Rs. 13,229.37, 12,910.2, 12,465.83, 8,218.84 and 7,597.69 lakh respectively under PMMVY during 2018-19.
