Top 10 States/UTs with respect to Central Fund Allocated under DAY-NRLM during 2019-20

Total central allocation under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) was Rs. 304,336.89 lakh in India during 2018-19. It has surged by 41.02% to Rs. 429,190.79 lakh during 2019-20 against 2018-19. The top 10 States/UTs with respect to central fund allocated under DAY-NRLM during 2019-20 were Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Tripura.

The allocation of central fund was Rs. 70,008.07 lakh for Uttar Pradesh under DAY-NRLM during 2019-20, which accounted 16.31% of the total central fund allocated under DAY-NRLM in India. There was central allocation of Rs. 48,627.99 lakh for Bihar under DAY-NRLM in 2019-20. It accounted 11.33% of the total central fund allocated under DAY-NRLM in India during the same period. The central fund allocated under DAY-NRLM was Rs. 30,513.46 lakh for Maharashtra during 2019-20, which accounted 7.11% of the total central fund allocated under DAY-NRLM in India. We have observed annual growth of 38.03% in allocation of central fund under DAY-NRLM for each Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra during 2019-20 above 2018-19.

There was central allocation of Rs. 25,983.03 lakh and Rs. 23,380.72 lakh for West Bengal and Odisha respectively under DAY-NRLM in 2019-20. West Bengal accounted for 6.05% and Odisha accounted for 5.45% of the total central fund allocated under DAY-NRLM in India during 2019-20.

During 2019-20, the central fund allocated under DAY-NRLM was Rs. 23,137.89, 20,781.78, 18,335.62, 18,074.67 and 15,705.14 lakh for Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Tripura respectively.
