In total there were 436385, 445143 and 423343 persons trained by Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs) from 2015-16 to 2017-18 respectively. The top 10 States/UTs in terms of number of Persons Trained by RSETIs during 2015-16 to 2017-18 were Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha and Jharkhand.
The number of persons trained by RSETIs in Uttar Pradesh was 54503 during 2017-18, down by -0.36% versus 54700 persons during 2016-17. It accounted 12.87% of the total persons trained by RSETIs in 2017-18. There were 36179 persons trained by RSETIs in Madhya Pradesh during 2017-18, which accounted 8.55% of the total persons trained by RSETIs in 2017-18. It has increased by 4.06% during 2017-18 above 2016-17 from 34769 persons. Annual de-growth of -8.18% has been observed in number of persons trained by RSETIs in Rajasthan from 33369 persons during 2016-17 to 30641 persons during 2016-17. It accounted 7.24% of the total persons trained by RSETIs in 2017-18.
During 2017-18, there were 28411, 27515, 26805, 26143, 22359, 22173 and 17660 persons trained by RSETIs in Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha and Jharkhand respectively. Whereas the number of persons trained by RSETIs in Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha and Jharkhand was 30544, 34539, 26287, 26583, 24211, 25456 and 19607 respectively during 2016-17. Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha and Jharkhand accounted for 6.71%, 6.5%, 6.33%, 6.18%, 5.28%, 5.24% and 4.17% respectively of the total persons trained by RSETIs during 2017-18.
