The top 10 States/UTs in terms of People made literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives as on 26.07.2016 were Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam and Odisha.

There were 2016019 People who have become literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives in Uttar Pradesh as on 26.07.2016; out of which 711119 (35.27%) were male and 1304900 (64.73%) were female. There were 1666568 People who have become literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives in Rajasthan as on 26.07.2016; out of which 486148 (29.17%) were male and 1180420 (70.83%) were female. There were 1397569 People who have become literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives in Bihar as on 26.07.2016; out of which 238817 (17.09%) were male and 1158752 (82.91%) were female.

The number of People made literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives was 1365133 in Jharkhand as on 26.07.2016, out of which male and female were 505065 (37%) and 860068 (63%) respectively. The number of People made literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives was 1312249 in West Bengal as on 26.07.2016, out of which male and female were 429954 (32.76%) and 882295 (67.24%) respectively.

As on 26.07.2016, the number of People made literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives was 841381, 618261, 570461, 352851 and 307654 in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam and Odisha respectively. The number of male persons who have become literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives was 187039, 157595, 168527, 114542 and 135626 in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam and Odisha respectively as on 26.07.2016. The number of female persons who have become literate through Saakshar Bharat Initiatives was 654342, 460666, 401934, 238309 and 172028 in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Assam and Odisha respectively as on 26.07.2016.
