State/UT-wise Percentage of Children (12-23 months age) fully immunized as of NFHS-4

According to NFHS-4 report, 62% Children of 12-23 months age have been fully immunized (BCG, measles, and 3 doses each of polio and DPT) in India. Whereas according to NFHS-3 report, 43.5% Children of 12-23 months age were fully immunized (BCG, measles, and 3 doses each of polio and DPT) in India. According to NFHS-4 report, 61.3% and 63.9% Children of 12-23 months age have been fully immunized (BCG, measles, and 3 doses each of polio and DPT) in rural areas of India and urban areas of India respectively.

According to NFHS-4 report, there are 21 States/UTs which seen above the All India (62%) percentage of Children of 12-23 months age have been fully immunized (BCG, measles, and 3 doses each of polio and DPT). These States/UTs are Puducherry, Punjab, Goa, Lakshadweep, West Bengal, Sikkim, Kerala, Chandigarh, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Delhi, Daman and Diu, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Haryana. Puducherry has the highest 91.3% of Children of 12-23 months age have been fully immunized (BCG, measles, and 3 doses each of polio and DPT) followed by Punjab, Goa, Lakshadweep, West Bengal, Sikkim, Kerala, Chandigarh, Odisha, Chattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Delhi, Daman and Diu, Manipur, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Haryana with 89.1%, 88.4%, 86.9%, 84.4%, 83%, 82.1%, 79.5%, 78.6%, 76.4%, 75.1%, 73.2%, 69.7%, 69.5%, 68.1%, 66.4%, 66.3%, 65.9%, 65.3%, 62.6% and 62.2% respectively.

According to NFHS-4 report, there are 15 States/UTs which seen below the All India (62%) percentage of Children of 12-23 months age have been fully immunized (BCG, measles, and 3 doses each of polio and DPT). These States/UTs are Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Assam, Gujarat, Mizoram, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Bihar and Jharkhand. Nagaland has the lowest 35.7% of Children of 12-23 months age have been fully immunized (BCG, measles, and 3 doses each of polio and DPT) followed by Arunachal Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Assam, Gujarat, Mizoram, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Bihar and Jharkhand with 38.2%, 43.2%, 47.1%, 50.4%, 50.5%, 51.1%, 53.6%, 54.5%, 54.8%, 56.3%, 57.7%, 61.5%, 61.7% and 61.9% respectively.
